Coach Reeves has been married for 32 years and has three kids.  His oldest daughter played collegiate soccer in  Pennsylvania at Slippery Rock University, she nows resides in California and is a Police Officier.  His son played volleyball at Princess Anne High School as well as for OVC.  His youngest daughter is in the 8th grade and loves soccer, baseball and cheerleading. Coach Reeves has been teaching for 29 years and is currently at Independence Middle School. He started teaching at Monacan High School in Chesterfield Country and has also taught at Kempsville High.

Coach Bill played baseball at Longwood College (now University) and went to the DII College World Series.  He was selected to the Longwood Hall of Fame in 2011.  After college, he started playing volleyball in Richmond at RVC, in grass tournaments, and later the beach.  He fell in love with the game and has been playing for the last 20+ years.

Coach Reeves has been coaching volleyball for 22 years.  His has coached at the high school level at Monacan and Kempsville High.  He has coached in 3 state finals, winning 2 (1997 and 2003).  He was named the VA High School Coach of the Year in 2003.  When he stopped coaching high school volleyball, he was the winning-est coach in Virginia.  Aaron Smith and Hudson Bates, the current Women´s Head Coach at the University of Virginia, and Men's assistant coach at The Ohio State University, both played under Coach Reeves.  Furthermore, he has been the girls volleyball coach at Independence for the last 7 years.  At the club level, he started coaching with Beach Boyz for 2 years, and then started OVC in 2005.  After a brief absence, he returned to OVC as a coach seven years ago.
